Explore Year 9WHAT YOUR FAMILY RECEIVES
A qualified teacher reads your child’s actual work, recognises strengths and identifies what will help them improve.
Individual written feedback leads to a focused improvement task. Your child knows what to change and has time to put it into practice.
Study independently at a time that suits you. Clear explanations and models guide the work; parents organise and send it.
Keep the work and its revisions together. Summaries after six completed feedback cycles and fuller reports after twelve show strengths and next priorities.
THE WEEKLY ROUTINE
Around 60 minutes for the learning pack, followed by 15–30 minutes to read the feedback, make improvements and check the result. Extra practice is optional.
Work through clear explanations, carefully explained models and focused reading and writing tasks. Complete the hour at once or in two 30-minute sessions.
Email clear photos or scans of the completed pages. Parents organise and send; they do not need to teach or mark.
An experienced teacher reads the work closely and uses specific examples to explain strengths and priorities. Your child receives clear improvement steps, with models or a checklist to guide the next attempt.
Read the comments, complete the essential improvement task and check it against the model or checklist. Allow around 15–30 minutes overall. Keep the revision for your own reference, then use the skill in the next pack.
