Words students
can really use.

We teach useful academic vocabulary—words such as “justify”, “ambiguous” and “consequence”—alongside subject terms such as “narrator”, “dramatic irony” and “juxtaposition”.

Students meet words in texts, explain them, use them in writing and retrieve them later. Knowing a label matters when it helps explain how a text works.

Modelled examples, sentence practice, independent writing and revision run through every pathway.

A map that responds to the student.

These are supplementary study sequences, not complete school courses. Plan for around 60 minutes of learning and practice, then 15–30 minutes to read the feedback, complete the essential improvement and check it. Wider reading, extra activities and full exam papers are optional additional work.

Years 7–10 each map 52 study weeks. Year 11 maps 36 exam-preparation priorities plus 16 optional post-GCSE transition weeks. Your tutor works backwards from the actual exam date; late joiners follow the most relevant priorities. Post-exam study is agreed separately, never assumed.

The annual curricula are mapped. Weekly packs are prepared and released as the programme runs. The GCSE and Year 8 samples show how teaching, practice and feedback work; students receive work from their own route.
