Alex keeps your work and notes about your learning so he can explain what you do well and help you improve. Your work is not displayed publicly. You can ask what information he has, ask him to correct a mistake or tell him about a concern, directly or with a parent's help.
We receive parent contact details, purchase and payment references, the child's first name or student reference, year group, qualification and exam board, assessment year, set texts, submitted work, questions, feedback and progress records. Information comes from you, your child and the payment provider.
We do not need the child's full birth date, school, home address or photographs of their face for teaching. Leave other people's names and unnecessary personal details off submitted pages. Describe practical access needs rather than sending medical reports or diagnoses. Necessary contact, purchase and teaching information allows us to provide the service; without it we may be unable to do so. Optional information is identified as optional.
We use parent information to answer enquiries, supply the purchased programme, manage payments and cancellations and address problems. The basis is taking steps at your request before a contract or carrying out the contract with you.
We use the child's work and learning record in our legitimate interests in providing individual teaching and tracking progress, balanced against the child's privacy and wellbeing. We keep financial records where the law requires this. We use essential website connection and security information in our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the site. We do not automatically add purchasers to a marketing mailing list.
Alex handles enrolment, marking and correspondence. Microsoft Outlook carries emails and attachments. Stripe processes payments and provides purchase information; Aspire does not receive your full card number or security code. The website uses OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure, which may process technical information such as IP addresses.
These providers also process some information for their own service, security and legal purposes under their privacy policies. We may disclose information where required by law, to address a legal claim or where necessary to protect someone from serious harm. Student information is not sold. Identifiable work is not published without separate permission.
AI may help Alex prepare explanations, practice tasks and draft wording. For the launch service, this uses generic teaching notes or examples that do not identify a student. Student emails, identifiable submissions and private learning records are not imported into AI.
Alex reads each student's work, decides the teaching priorities and checks and approves the feedback. No solely automated decision determines access or an assessment outcome. Any future use of identifiable student information with an AI provider requires suitable arrangements and an updated notice before it begins.
Our technology providers operate internationally, including in the United States. Their published arrangements include recognised adequacy protections and contractual transfer safeguards where applicable. Microsoft, Stripe and Cloudflare describe participation in the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework; OpenAI describes adequacy arrangements and contractual clauses with the UK Addendum. These arrangements apply according to the provider, service and transfer involved. We do not promise UK-only storage.
Read the Microsoft privacy statement, Stripe privacy policy, Cloudflare privacy policy and OpenAI privacy policy. Ask Alex for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
Routine enquiries are deleted six months after the last contact if no purchase follows. Student submissions, routine feedback and progress records are kept during the programme and normally deleted within twelve months after the last paid study week.
Necessary payment, invoice and related tax records are retained for five years after the 31 January tax-return deadline for the relevant tax year, or longer where a particular legal requirement applies. A specific complaint or dispute may justify keeping the relevant records until it is resolved and any necessary legal retention ends.
Alex reviews retained records monthly. Deletion from active records may be followed by a provider's recovery or backup period. Providers may also retain information for their own legal obligations.
Email Alex to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or, where applicable, a portable copy. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is used for an optional purpose, you can withdraw it. Rights depend on the circumstances; Alex will explain any relevant exception.
A child's information rights belong to the child, and a parent may help exercise them where appropriate. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Optional Google Analytics measures visits to our public parent-facing pages only when you accept analytics cookies. We do not use advertising trackers. The free-week form saves parent contact and course details securely; work is submitted by email. An optional private progress area uses a separate login. Hosting and payment providers may use essential security technologies under their own policies. Email links open your email application; payment links take you to Stripe.
This notice will be updated before a new portal, upload system or materially different use of personal information is introduced.
We collect the parent/carer email, student first name, year group, pathway, relevant exam-board choices and any course texts or topics you provide to arrange the requested lesson and Alex’s feedback. We store the request securely with delivery-stage dates and restrict access to Alex. We use the parent email and student first name to spot repeat requests; siblings qualify separately. No card details are collected and no marketing list is created by this form.
Registration is saved on the website; packs, submitted work and personal feedback are handled by email. The introductory campaign records non-identifying daily totals of landing-page loads, call-to-action clicks and form starts. It does not store visitor IDs, IP addresses, recordings, form contents or browser fingerprints in those totals. Separately, optional Google Analytics operates only with your consent as described below. No advertising pixels are active. Free-week enquiries follow the existing six-month enquiry retention period; submitted work and feedback follow the existing student-record policy, measured from the last study week whether free or paid. Contact Alex to correct or delete a request.
We retain the source category and campaign label from your registration link with your request, and your optional answer about whether you already know Alex. This helps us understand which introductions lead to completed learning and feedback. These details and confirmed service-stage dates are visible only to Alex, under the existing enquiry and student-record retention periods. We use these limited records to deliver and improve the requested service; they do not enrol you in marketing.
Anonymous aggregate counting uses no tracking cookies or persistent visitor identifiers. To decline counting, use “Turn off anonymous counting” on the campaign page; that preference alone is stored on your device. Opting out does not affect registration or feedback.
Updated 28 September 2026. If you choose “Accept analytics”, we load Google Analytics 4 on public parent-facing pages to measure visits, acquisition sources, registration starts and newly saved free-week requests. Download and checkout clicks are counted separately; neither proves that a pupil started work or that a payment was made. The private progress area and pupil practice pages do not load Google Analytics.
Google receives technical browser/device and visit information and uses first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_PXY03K5VWV to distinguish browsers and sessions. We configure these cookies to expire after 90 days. We send only known public page paths and approved campaign labels, with external referral addresses reduced to their website origin. We do not send parent emails, pupil names, form answers, schoolwork, feedback or student references to Google Analytics. Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled in our website tag.
Our basis for this optional analytics is your consent. Rejecting analytics leaves the website and free week fully available. Use “Analytics choices” in the footer to change your choice at any time. Rejecting stops further measurement and removes our GA cookies; it does not automatically erase information already collected. A first-party preference cookie remembers your choice for 180 days. If you consent and a new registration is saved, a two-minute, non-identifying marker lets us count its success once on the confirmation page.
Google processes information internationally under its published arrangements. See Google’s privacy policy and how Google uses information from partner sites. Contact Alex about your data choices. The separate anonymous campaign totals and service records described above remain available whether you accept or reject Google Analytics.
