Your weekly routine

Sunday: receive the new pack.

Times are UK local time. Your first pack arrives after confirmed payment. Week 2 starts on the first Sunday at least seven days later; your first submission is due on the Thursday before that Sunday. Your welcome message gives the exact dates.

How much will I need to do?

Help your child find two short study periods, make the pack available and send back the work. Print single-sided, or provide an extra labelled sheet for the feedback task. You do not need to teach the lesson or mark it.

Is this suitable for my child?

The programme is for Year 8 students who can work through a written lesson with some help organising their time. The first week gives Alex a starting point. Tell Alex about reading difficulties or access needs before joining, so he can confirm whether this format will suit your child.

Will the feedback come from Alex?

Yes. Alex reviews your child’s work, decides the teaching priority and approves the response. You receive personal feedback and a written next step, with a video explanation when useful. AI tools can help prepare a draft; Alex checks the work, chooses the teaching priority and approves every response before it is sent.

Can my child type instead?

Yes. Clear photos or scans of handwritten work are the usual route, but plain typed responses are welcome. For independent tasks, turn off predictive text and automatic spelling, grammar or rewriting tools. Tell Alex about any help or agreed accessibility support, so he can interpret the work fairly.

What happens if my child gets stuck?

Use the support route in the pack and write the question in the question box. Alex addresses it through the feedback. A specific example of the difficulty helps him give a useful explanation.

Does the hour include using the feedback?

Yes. Practice weeks include time to act on the previous feedback as well as reading, modelling, writing and revision. Optional wider reading is additional.

Is there a live lesson?

The programme is independent study with personal feedback from Alex. There is no scheduled live lesson to attend. Questions about the work are answered through the feedback.

How will I see progress?

Weekly feedback explains what your child did well and what to work on. You receive a summary after six completed study weeks and a fuller report after twelve, comparing work, recording demonstrated skills and setting the next priorities. These are included when you renew shorter plans too. Achievements recognise useful habits as well as growing independence.

How do renewal and cancellation work?

The £30 weekly option takes the first payment when you join. Its first renewal is on the Sunday that Week 2 starts, at least seven days later; it then renews every seven days. You see the first renewal date before paying. Cancel future payments before the next charge. The four-week and twelve-week blocks are one-off payments and do not renew automatically. Your checkout terms explain cancellation rights, refunds, missed weeks and any agreed pause before you pay.

Are high GCSE grades guaranteed?

No. The programme builds foundations relevant to ambitious GCSE English Language and Literature outcomes. Later grades depend on school teaching, wider reading, practice and other factors. We show progress in the work rather than inventing predicted grades.
